What you will do As a customer service representative at the CJIB, you are the first point of contact for citizens, companies and chain partners. You handle a wide range of questions about traffic fines, payment arrangements and other legal matters. Thanks to your listening skills, empathy and analytical ability, you quickly identify what assistance is needed and provide an appropriate solution. You conduct conversations in which emotions or resistance sometimes arise. It is precisely then that you know how to remain calm, communicate clearly and help the customer further in a professional manner. You also process all information accurately in the systems, so that records are maintained completely and correctly.

Your duties
  • Answering telephone questions from citizens, companies and chain partners.
  • Providing information about traffic fines, payment arrangements and legal procedures.
  • Advising on suitable solutions within the applicable regulations.
  • Handling resistance and complex customer questions professionally.
  • Registering conversations, appointments and data in the systems.
  • Contributing to customer-focused, high-quality service.
What we offer you You start on 30 September 2026 with a comprehensive training course lasting 4,5 weeks, in which you are prepared for the role step by step. During this interactive training, you immediately combine theory with practical experience and work 34 hours per week. After the training, you enter a follow-up phase with additional training, assessment moments and personal guidance. This gives you every opportunity to develop into a fully-fledged professional within the CJIB.

What employment conditions do we offer you:
  • A gross hourly wage between € 18,38 and € 22,85, depending on experience.
  • A working week of 24 to 36 hours.
  • Flexible working hours from Monday through Friday.
  • A year-end allowance of 8,33%.
  • A net work-from-home allowance of € 2,40 per day.
  • Travel allowance of € 0,21 per kilometer or full reimbursement of public transport costs.

Requirements

Are you an empathetic and analytical professional with experience in customer contact? We are looking for someone who can answer questions from citizens and businesses with care and precision.

  • At least MBO 4 working and thinking level.
  • Experience in customer contact, preferably in a complex or service-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • You are empathetic and analytical, and you are a good listener.
  • Excellent command of the Dutch language.
  • Good command of English.
  • Knowledge of German and/or French is an advantage.
