Finished with school and looking for a technical future? Start this summer with holiday work in Leeuwarden and then grow into a paid BBL apprenticeship! You choose the technical direction, we arrange the rest!
What will you do?You will start this summer with holiday work at a technical company in Leeuwarden or the surrounding area. This way, you earn a salary and gain direct work experience. Perhaps you will soon be working on vehicles, learning to weld, helping with installations, building machines, or solving technical faults. You choose the direction you like, and we arrange the workplace and guidance. If it goes well on both sides, you will transition into a BBL pathway after the summer. You will then work 4 days a week and go to school 1 day. Meanwhile, you learn the trade in practice and earn a regular salary.
You can get started in fields such as:
- Commercial vehicle technology
- Installation technology
- Electrical engineering
- Welding and metalworking (production technology)
- Mechatronics

What you can expect from us:
- Salary between €1,070 and €2,800 gross per month;

Where will you work?Through Maintec, you will work at a technical company in Leeuwarden or elsewhere in Friesland. This could be a large modern company where you work with the latest technologies, or a smaller family business where everyone knows each other. Together we will see which learning company suits you best. During your BBL pathway, you are not alone. You will work with experienced colleagues who will teach you the trade in practice. In addition, you will receive guidance from a dedicated Maintec coach who will help you during your training. The goal of this pathway is clear: you get your diploma and then join the company where you learned and worked. This is how you build your future in technology from day one.
What do we expect from you?
- You have (almost) obtained your VMBO diploma;
- You want to start a technical BBL training program;
- You like working with your hands;
- You are motivated to learn a trade;
- You live in Leeuwarden or elsewhere in Friesland;
- You speak good Dutch.
